5.0 out of 5 stars Loved the CD!, December 17, 1999
This review is from: Early Days (Audio CD)
I loved this album - "The Early Days". I loved hearing the song from the steamy scene in "The Thomas Crown Affair"- 'Everything is Not Enough'. I'm tired of hearing angry young women singers spewing their discontent about their lost loves. I hate the young guys ranting and raving their angst. This CD is a welcome relief. Beth's voice and lyrics takes you away from the mundane into the rarified atmosphere of genuine insight (whether it is the modern day relationship lost amidst unanswered email or unanswered messages left on a phone machine - as in 'Everything') - to the deep, moving lyrics of 'Silent Song'. This CD is not for your feet but for your mind!

5.0 out of 5 stars MORE BETH HIRSCH!, December 30, 1999
This review is from: Early Days (Audio CD)
WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR MORE FROM BETH HIRSCH. HER VOICE HAS SOMETHING THAT IS FAMILIAR ABOUT IT; YET QUITE DIFFERENT AND REFRESHING. SUPERB MUSIC FOR NON-INTERUPTIVE ENTERTAINING. I HOPE TO HEAR A LOT MORE OF HER MUSIC IN THE FUTURE. IF IT IS ANYTHING LIKE THE LAST TWO ALBUMS THEY WILL BE WELL RECIEVED.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Voice of "Air" sings Solo, December 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Early Days (Audio CD)
I was patiently waiting for Beth Hirsch's first solo album. I loved her voice and lyrics on Air's knockout album - "Moon Safari".

I had no idea she was such an accomplished composer or lyricist as she displays on this album "The Early Days."

From the first strains of the soulful "Come a Day" until the last chords of "Silent Song", Beth's voice transports you effortlessly through a beautiful but subtle journey of life's challenging moments.

Her song "Life is Mine" could easily become the anthem for the "X" Generation.

There may be more popular albums this year, but few will match the tranquility, meaning or grace of this one - thank you Beth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beth Hirsch "Soulfully Rocks"ÿ, December 24, 1999

This review is from: Early Days (Audio CD)
Thoroughly enjoyed this release by one of music's rising new stars. Since hearing Ms. Hirsch on the Air "Moon Safari" I devour whatever she produces-and for good reason. Her voice is a combination of melodic power and penetrating ease which makes Ms. Hirsch's her own brand. "Come A Day" is as beautiful song I have ever heard. Another favorite is "Dream On" which is a personal anthem of optimism for what lays ahead for all of us. Beautiful and stirring lyrics, a smooth voice, Ms. Hirsch possesses all the ingredients to become a major force in today's music world. What's next?
