Editorial Reviews

About the Author

Richard Seltzer worked for Digital/Compaq for 19 years, focusing on the Internet for the last five years, most recently as "Internet Evangelist." He is now an independent Internet writer/speaker/consultant, acting as an advocate for full and more effective use of the Internet for business and education. The second edition of his book The AltaVista Search Revolution was recently published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill. (Library Journal called it "indispensable.") He also hosts a weekly chat session on Business on the World Wide Web. In addition, Richard runs his own small publishing business on the Internet (The B&R Samizdat Express), and is the author of novels (The Name of Hero) and children's books (The Lizard of Oz). His acclaimed Web site is frequently cited as an important resource for education and the blind. He is now writing a dummies-style book on online shopping for Macmillan. He calls himself an "Internet evangelist" because of his passion for the subject and his contagious enthusiasm. He lives in Boston with his wife Barbara and four extraordinary children. He can be reached at seltzer@samizdat.com
