This book is a must-have for anyone overwhelmed with teaching their preschooler. As a beginning homeschooler, I feel this book is a lifesaver. It contains an extensive list of activities for learning letters, numbers and colors that will make learning a joy for your little one. The book also contains a valuable skills checklist for kindergarten readiness, a suggested homeschool schedule and a list of materials used in early education and where to get them (most are inexpensive and can be found at home). This book is a valuable resource for parents who just want suggestions for fun-filled activities to do with their children even if they do not intend to homeschool. The book is arranged by weekly planning sheets. Each week features a specific letter, number and color to focus on as well as suggested bible stories, books, field trips, character qualities and even related snacks. This is a 36 week curriculum but can easily be adapted to nearly every schedule. An extensive bibliography, recommendations for computer software and suggestions for reading programs are included in the back of the book. Daily Planning Sheets and Week-At-A-Glance sheets can be photocopied.To facilitate alternate plans of instruction, the index lists the different topics presented in the curriculum indicating in which weekly planning sheet they can be found. This book is a must-have for any parent of a preschooler!!!

The book has 36 weeks of lessons outlined - easy to follow and flexible - to teach letters, numbers, Bible Characters, Character traits, colors, suggested literature and even snacks and field trips! Plus there are lists of "how to" ideas - a great resource.
