A precursor of things to come?, January 18, 2008

I hung out with The Early November on their farewell tour when they passed through Denver (everyone except Ace Enders, that is) and they are genuine, charming, well-behaved young men. I strongly suspect that much of their demise can be attributed to Ace's desire to pursue a solo career (see I Am The Avalanche and I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business). Nobody else in the band seemed that eager to break up. That being said, though, I Am The Avalanche is good, if not really good (I hate to say that). This album is well worth the price of admission if you like straightforward rock and roll, emo, and The Early November. Enough said.
