5.0 out of 5 stars If you don't know when you ovulate, buy these...they work!
My cycles are long (35-38 days). We had been trying to get pregnant for 6 months, but shooting way too early in my cycle missing the fertile window. I bought these strips last month, got a positive 2 days in a row 3 weeks into my cycle and we did our thing the second positive day. Happy to say I'm 5 weeks prego today!

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
I bought these because they were so inexpensive - and you get what you pay for. First of all, the instructions say to test between 10am and 6pm. But after getting no positive results in 2 months, a friend of mine said to test after dinner (between 6pm and 10pm), and voila - a positive test appeared! However, the bad part was that I got the positive result only after my...

5.0 out of 5 stars Cost-effective and accurate -- if you are able to follow directions, May 18, 2006

I used these and became pregnant within 4 months. (Somewhat faster than average considering our personal circumstances.) I was charting my fertility according to the "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" method, so I know these strips accurately detected ovulation. They correlated exactly with my temperature and other changes.

I prefered to buy the cheapest tests and print out the directions myself, just in case we were testing for months. The directions are readily available from the seller's website. They keep the cost low by not packaging them with every item.

I used small bathroom drinking cups to catch the urine. It wasn't messy once I figured out where to hold the cup. You might as well learn how to pee in a cup now if you are trying to conceive. You will be doing this for your doctor every month during your pregnancy!

If you are trying to conceive, reading Toni Wechsler's book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" will help more than any test strips.

I bought these because they were so inexpensive - and you get what you pay for. First of all, the instructions say to test between 10am and 6pm. But after getting no positive results in 2 months, a friend of mine said to test after dinner (between 6pm and 10pm), and voila - a positive test appeared! However, the bad part was that I got the positive result only after my temp had spiked that morning (which says that I ovulated that day). So it did not predict the hormone surge 2-3 days before ovulation, like its supposed to. So buy these with that in mind. Maybe buy extra strips and test once after lunch and once after dinner. Good luck!

1.0 out of 5 stars Yes, they are cheap but not worth it!!, December 7, 2005
This review is from: Ovulation Predictor Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
I wanted to save money from buying the OPK's at the drug store and thought I woudl give them a shot. I wanted to see if these were accurate so I tested using Clear Blue Easy digital OPK and these into the same urine sample. CBE came up positive 1 full day before these did. They aren't as sensitive as they claim.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as accurate as Clear Blue Easy (for me), July 7, 2005
This review is from: Ovulation Predictor Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
I bought these because they were less expensive than my previous month's supply of Clear BLue Easy Ovulation tests. My cycle is pretty regular..27-28 days. These registered as negative for 2 days before ovulation. I had one Clear Blue Easy test left and I tried that one (CBE) immediately after one of these, it was positive! I'm not sure if I got a pack of "duds" or if these aren't as sensitive as the Clear Blue Easy brand.
There was a very faint line, but not as dark or darker than the control line. Which under the instructions on the website indicates that it is a negative test. I don't think I'll buy these again! I will say, shipping was super fast!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well for me!, July 7, 2004

These Ovulation Test Strips do not come with instructions; however, in the package the company gives the web address where you can find the instructions (obviously if you bought them online you have access to the internet). The directions on their website, Ovulation-Predictor, are simple enough for ANYONE to follow.

My own experience with these was excellent. They are just as good as the expensive brands, but at a better price.

Highly Recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, not so efficient delivery, July 19, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Ovulation Predictor Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
The product itself was great, easy to use and very reasonably priced. I would hesitate to order these again from this distributor and Amazon however, because of the length of time it took to receive the product. Not at all prompt, as advertised, and I was able to find another site online that had the same pricing, but with much more efficient delivery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Shipping to Canada, September 8, 2004

These strips were a great bargain over the ones available in Canada(which cost about $55 CAN for 5-9 strips). I bought 10 OPK strips and 2 pregnancy test strips for $21 CAN. Just be aware that it took about 3 weeks for them to arrive, so if you're in a hurry buy the horribly overpriced ones at Shoppers Drug Mart or pick up a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler--it's a great resource on natural signals of fertility (ovulation).

3.0 out of 5 stars ok i guess, April 6, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I have irregular periods and am on clomid. The day before ovulation this test gave me a line that was darker than i had seen before but it was not darker or as dark as the control line. I went to the dollar store and bought one of theres to double check and that one was much more clear and about the same price. Thank goodness i bought the other brand bc i ovulated on day 23 and would have missed it relying on this test alone.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read but messy to deal with, February 2, 2006

I feel that this is an easy product to use and results are easy to read (when you go to the web site, see below). However, it is very messy to take the test. I also disliked the fact that they did not send instructions on reading the results you had to go to their website to figure out how the test worked and how to read the test.
For a dollar would I use again? I am not sure. Sometime less mess is worth the price, sometimes not.
