I purchased this bible for an 8 year old granddaughter who attends a private christian school. The NKJV was the translation she requested since it retains the KJV language, but, as she puts it "gets rid of all the thees and thous". She loves all the maps, dictionary, and pages that encourage her to record notes. The print is a larger size than that of adult bibles. This is the perfect bible for kids that are reading on their own and will not just read scripture, but will study scripture. I suggest buying bible highlighters as an added gift when presenting the bible.

The added narratives don't talk down to us. The explanations are helpful and are in a commonsense order. The added study helps are informative. The pages are a bit thicker/sturdier than adult bibles. And I've always enjoyed the New King James Version.

This Bible was perfect for my daughter who is 5 1/2. She is able to use this in school for her Bible class. The language is not complicated. We like it.

I bought this for my daughter who likes to read along with us..She loves it!It also has great charts and maps that are great to study and learn with.I would reccomend it to others!

This hard cover, large print Bible is perfect for Kid's. My daughter has just begun reading and loves having her own Bible.

Very nice Bible. Purchased for our 5 year old who is beginning to read. The font is larger than most children's Bibles making it easier for the child to view the words.

It is very hard to find a Bible for kids under all the different translations. This one fits the bill for my kids, aged 7 and 6. Big print, easy to read and plenty of illustrations for my children to learn. I don't like many other Bible translations, for many lack the true definitions that the KJV has. Considering the King James is hard for any kid to read, the NKJV was the best. I had to go on the internet to purchase this, and my daughter loves to carry it to church! Very pleased with this one.

I love this Bible.
The only problem I found was that Amazon shows a girly cover in pink and purple but it did not come to me tha way. It cam in primary colors.
I bought it for my daughters kindergarten graduation. It has many pages to write down who gave you the Bible and why, special church events and accomplishments your child participates in, notes and much more. I love the harder pages on the picture pages. They show you differences that your child may not have imagined on there on. Pictures of the items in the temple, the differences between the names of robes and other items that may be just a little different but have different names. Lots of maps. It explains who each book was written by, how and why. All of Jesus' words are in red. They have many pages that do the work for your child. Example- Why do you need to obey your parents, it tells you the verse. There are tons of these in there. Also different ways to read through your Bible. It details exactly what verse to read what day depending on the plan you choose. The words are larger than most childrens Bibles and I like it has a hard cover. Over all it is a great Bible and I may even get myself one and buy a cover for it so others don't know I'm carrying a kids Bible around. LOL

These Bibles are great for kids. They even have the letters of Jesus in Red which wasn't in details of Bible. Shipping was fast and they came in good shape. The kids in Children's Church all want one for their own. Thank you, Pastor Don Reed
