It's lush-sounding and is Gwen's best song in years...
What You Waiting For came out, and showed us her quirky side and I was less impressed than I was with her and No Doubt, a favorite band of mine. singles came and went, Hollaback Girl came and went, Cool came, stuck in my head since her release, and was my favorite until now. This is by far one of her most easiest songs to access, lyrically in my opinion. Everyone has relationships, love-based or otherwise so it's a topic that's old but never really gets old. Or does it? Either way, I'm thoroughly impressed with the vocal and lyrical delivery as well as the production, most notable at the start of the song, and wish the best for her. This song rocks hard. It's very emotional and honest, which Gwen has always been. "And I always was/always was one for crying/I always was one for tears." Good luck, No Doubt! 5 stars. |
