5.0 out of 5 stars Scotland's SIMPLE MINDS Punk Rock era- Cocteau Twins got there name from song, October 16, 2006
This review is from: Early Years 1977-78 (Audio CD)
For those of you who like LIFE IN A DAY by Simple Minds, these singles & demos are raw versions and early punk or no wave experiments which lead to the bands early sound. A great Buzzcocks sound lead to supporting shows with Siouxsie & the Banshees and Generation X in Glasgow. Robin Guthrie was a punk DJ and Elizabeth Fraser was a fan and used the track Cocteau Twins (from this CD} as inspiration for there band name. Fast, hard, sexual, & raw punk rock.
