I have been following Jaco's work ,every piece of recording for quite some time now. Ever since I atteded NTSU
and pulled my frets out just like Jaco did. Yes everybody at my school was doing that and studying every Jaco song that came out. In this "early days",it has a nice write up and you can hear that Jaco had his sound very early on. On some cuts its funny, its a lame tune with the band really sounding lame then you hear Jaco cutting through all the BS of the song and its weird,the band is literaly following Jaco. There will never be another bass player like hime.......never. So go out in hear the early "KICKBUTT" songs of the late great John Anthony Francis Pastorius..... It was well worth adding to my hundreds of Jaco cd's already! |
