I originally purchased this book as a gift for a friend, however upon flipping through it prior to wrapping it up, discovered it was a " must have" for my own library. So far it is the only book I have come across that deals solely with the history of the British Virgin Islands. The 2000 edition is still available for sale at a few book stores in the BVI and the second book " A Concise History" I was able to track down from the author directly on Tortola..His third book, larger and much expanded version titled
HISTORY OF THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
is being finalised in the near future and should be in print before Christmas 2004
A fourth book, also on the history of the BVI with focus on the early 1800s will follow suit
