5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!
I loved this CD. Angela is very talented in her songwriting. My favorites were Truck Drivin Man, Feel Like Driking, and Dear Johnny. She reminds me of Loretta Lynn and Emmylou Harris. I highly recommend this album.

1.0 out of 5 stars 1 song good...others...??
I saw her in concert. She was an opening act for my favorite singer. Her voice tends to shift a lot when she is singing. Notice on TROY. One song was DEAR JOHNNY written for Johnny Cash, but that was the only one I seriously enjoyed. I wouldn't reccommend the album unless you enjoy up and down singing ALOT.

5.0 out of 5 stars Country as it should be, April 6, 2009
This review is from: Earning Her Wings (Audio CD)
On "Earning Her Wings" Angela Easterling most surely does. This is the best COUNTRY music I've heard in a very long time. Angela's voice is 24karat spun gold. The past decade we have seen country/pop , country/rock, country/rap. This CD is not country slash anything. It's the real deal. It would have been a perfect country record 50 years ago , and will be a perfect country record 50 years from now. It does'nt sound dated,it's timeless. There is no compromise with anything from Angela. Not a bad track on it. The accompanying musicians are all perfectly suited and well versed in the tradition. If your tired of the faux country we've been hearing on the radio for so long BUY THIS NOW. Angela Easterling is the real deal! A must have for fans of Patty Loveless , The Carter Family , Loretta Lynn, Alison Krauss and Union Station and Emmylou Harris. I LOVE this record.

5.0 out of 5 stars CD I enjoy again & again, December 2, 2008
This review is from: Earning Her Wings (Audio CD)
I bought this CD over a year ago and I still listen to it often. The songs are so varied and so good, I never get tired of it. I also bought one for my mother and for a nephew and they both love it too, so it goes over well with different age groups. Angela writes great country-folk songs and the musicians she works with are outstanding! My favorite track is Long, Gone, True, reminds me of my favorite artist, Alison Krauss.

5.0 out of 5 stars great songs in classic country style, September 25, 2008
This review is from: Earning Her Wings (Audio CD)
For all of you who think modern country has gone to "pop", this is the CD for you. Angela sings in a style that reminds me of Hank Williams, Loretta lynn and the Carter family, with songs that range from a modern bluegrass to honky-tonk sounOne of my new favorite CD's!
