Brought Back Memories,

There's nothing like revisiting old memories. This was exactly what this DVD did for me.
I can still hear my DI's telling me to "Never quit and to never give up". I still remember the first time I met my DI's in our SquadBay. Not the mention the fear I felt once I got off the bus at MCRD-SD. You can't go into Boot Camp all over again, but this is the closest you'll ever get to it. God Bless the creators of this film, for letting a Devil Dog revisit his old memories.

EOEC has been my favorite movie of all time since it came out !.. the original was awesome.. and this "CHAPTER ONE " IS exactly what it was intended to be.. This dvd is the footage of recieving that didnt make the original EOEC.... its a raw look of what marine corps boot is like.. It puts you through the drill instructors mind games yourself ! you feel like you are there with them.. and too be honest im glad that the dvd doesnt have commentary or anything like that. its a brutal look of what marine corp basic is like and its the best documentary ever !!! awesome job

Marine Boot Camp Receiving,

The movie is excellent, it gives the viewer insight on the first 4 or so days of Marine recruits lives at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. These aren't actors they are real recruits and the drill instructors are definitely not actors. A must have for any Marine past or present and anyone who wants to catch a glimpse of Marine Corps Boot Camp.

This is an excellent documentary which illustrates first hand what recruits experience when they first arrive at marine corps bootcamp all the way up to the point when they meet their drill instructors. It shows a very good view point of how tired, disoriented and confused recruits are upon starting their training. I never realized how chaotic things were in the beginning until I bought this DVD. (Since the original documentary doesn't show the very beginning of training) This is another great production by the creator of the original documentary entitled "Ears Open Eyeballs Click". I highly recommend purchasing this video as well as the original documentary.

I'm giving the DVD itself 5 stars. Its a great look at what goes on during those first 24 hours off the bus. I'm giving the seller 5 stars for shipping, delivery and refund of damaged product.
The DVD was unfortunately returned due to the last half of the whole DVD being so digitized and crackly, it was just unwatchable. I would buy from this seller again as my purchase was received and credited with exceptional speed.

This is a poorly-done video compared to the others I've seen on the same topic. THere is no narration, which leaves the viewer often wondering what's happening in the disjointed clips. The lighting and audio are poor as well; the viewer is often struggling to hear what's being said due to either the echo caused by the surroundings or the too-loud soundtrack that's been added. This video is also very short & not worth the money, in my opinion.
