I saw the same speaker with the name Sykik. Does anyone knows if there is a difference? May 21, 2014
They are both the same. Sykik is the US version, comes with one year US warranty and tech support, in variety of colors. Earson, is the Chinese version, no US warranty, you are in mercy of the vender. That is why most of the sellers of Earson are from China or Hong Kong.
I've noticed that the Sykik version lists a microphone spec- does the Earson have a microphone? Jul 3, 2014
US version (Sykik) does come with built-in Mic for hands free calling. By the way, these units are not water proof. They are splash proof, or weather proof. Although they are good under rain, but you can not submerge them.
These speakers claim to be "waterproof".. does that mean dropping it in a 10 foot pool or getting a little splash on it? Jul 20, 2014
I can't testify to having chucked it into water, but I do take it kayaking in the gulf & to the beach all the time; it still works after having water continually splash on it. It's a great little speaker! I know I'm highly satisfied.
We have small get togethers and it does the job. It's pretty loud! We got a complaint from the neighbor when we were testing it out but then again our house is very open with just screen on the windows / no glass.
That depends on your device. This speaker can only be paired with one device at a time, and it will not "relay" music, so it depends on the capabilities of your music player. Most devices, including iPhones and iPods are NOT able to broadcast a bluetooth signal to multiple devices simultaneously.
How am I supposed to know when it's fully charged? Is the red light supposed to turn off? I use it while it's charging, does that slow down charging? Mar 21, 2015
It usually take a couple hours to charge and lasts for about 8 hours. I believe charging and playing at the same time does slow the charge
Not sure. We plugged it to a USB port on computer
Yes but what you are going to pair it with can not be to far from the speaker because it will start losing signal
