very soft leather, good arch support. my heal doesnt slip out like with some EARTH shoes (I love EARTH shoes, they are all I wear) they feel already broken in when I first slipped my foot in! The only break in for me will be the arch, I have low arches and need it to smash down a little! these are super cute in the silver!

I ordered these shoes, inspired by the more expensive version by Sperry. These Earth metallic silver ones are PERFECT for walking in Chicago streets and are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I thought the sole would be a turn off, looking a bit "institutional" & orthopedic, however, it doesn't look bulky or "dorky". These shoes look great with jeans and/or leggings and can be dressed up or casual. I haven't had them long enough to tell if they are helping with posture & my back pain as the box claims, however, I'd be curious to find out if that changes in a few more weeks.
