5.0 out of 5 stars absorbant!
I used to use 7th gen.. Although these rolls are smaller, they are softer and more absorbant, so I'm staying with Earth Friendly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good environmentally-friendly towels
I just starting using these towels this weekend at my daughter's first birthday. I was pleasantly surprised. They are very absorbent and do not fall apart. Although, I do find myself using more than one at a time because they are not tough enough for me. I am used to using Brawny, so they are thinner than tree- paper towels, but overall OK. I just wish planet...

this is the first time I find good paper towels that are also environmentally friendly. The other ones I tried before were too thin, not as absorbant. these are great. no need to ever go back to regular, knowing that the paper industry is one the worst polluting industries out there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Go with other brands for 100% recycled, October 30, 2009

So I don't know if this will get blocked or not because I'm referencing Consumer Reports or not... but I tried to do a lot of research before I bought these paper towels last week. When I got them in, I was... unimpressed. I was deciding between Seventh Generation, Green Forest and Earth Friendly Products. Today, a new Consumer Reports came in, and ranked all 3 of these along with 18 other brands (21 total), and Earth Friendly Products came in last of all 21. Seventh Generation was an alright at number 13, and a product called White Cloud Green Earth, which I'm not sure where to find to purchase, came in at 7, the best of all products that are recycled. So if you can find them, go with White Cloud Green Earth brand!

I've tried three different types of "green" papertowels. This one is by far the best!! It has more sheets per roll and each sheet is thicker than the other brands I've tried. I'm so glad this product is offered here because my grocery no longer carries this brand. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like these!, July 8, 2010

First and foremost, I like knowing I'm using a product made from recycled paper and can again be recycled. It's a wonderful system/cycle and our planet will be happier in the long run.

The sheets on these rolls are 3/4 sheets. They aren't a full size sheet and they aren't as small as the 1/2 sheets. They aren't as thick as a Bounty, Brawny or Scott towel, but they are absorbent and thick enough for me. I only use paper towels for quick spill cleanups, drying the kitchen counter... and use cloth for the tough stuff. These are better than other Green brands I've tried and I'm glad I ordered them. I just used 1 sheet to scrub 3 ears of corn-on-the-cob I husked and the towel didn't shred and fall apart even when wet! Impressive.

It makes me feel good to know I'm helping our planet by using these. If you're concerned about the environment and like to use recycled/Green products too....give these a try. They're pretty darn good!

It's not bounty, but it works, and I feel a lot better using a 100% recycled paper product from a reputable green company. The box of 24 lasts a while too. Amazon does a great job getting to you as well.

Towels advertise strength but they are anything but strong. Cancelled recurring order after first one.

I like that these towels are a smaller size. I prefer the "select-a-size" type of towel so that it is easy to take a small piece to avoid waste. These are larger than the half sheets I've had before, but smaller than a typical sheet.

They are a thin paper towel, so they can tear when pulled quickly from the roll, but they aren't prone to shredding as some other recycled towels seem to.

Personally, I use rags to clean up serious spills, reserving paper towels for small, quick-grab messes and as napkins when someone is running out of the house with food in hand. Someone who cleans heavily with paper instead of cloth might find these too thin and/or small.

2.0 out of 5 stars Earth Friendly but not strong, March 26, 2009

I purchased a case of the Earth Friendly paper towels. This is the first eco-friendly paper towel that I have used. I am not sure if it is indicative of eco-friendly paper towels or not but I was very disappointed at the thickness and strength of the sheets compared to my regular paper towels. They tend to fall apart very easily. It would take two to three times as many Earth Friendly paper towel versus my regular paper towels. It may be earth friendly but you end up recycling a lot more of it.
