Top Customer Reviews
I've been using it for a while now previosly purchased from BJ's club and deciced to take advantage of the savings from buying in bulk. The soap itself gets 5 stars. It's the container that brings my review down to 4.
The problem with the 5 gallon container is tapping the jug to get it to flow. The spigot does not come attached and there is no hole for you to put it in. There is a raised plastic bump in the front that needs to be cut off for the spigot to be screwed in. It's solid, not hollow so cutting through it is not easy. You have to use a heavy duty box cutting type knife or a jig-saw blade to cut it out and be careful not to make it too big. There are no directions that say this - you've got to figure it out. I broke 3 blades trying to cut it; but finally got it. There's a vent valve at the top of the jug that allows air in so the jug doesn't create a vaccuum and collapse in - that must also be cut open, but is much easier to cut than the hole for the spigot.
The hole cutting is a pain - but its a one time deal. The ongoing problem I have is that the spigot always drips; even when closed properly. There's always a slight drip coming out of it. I put a cup on the floor where the drip goes so I can pour the soap from the cup into the washer, but I really wish I didn't have to.
So while the soap itself gets 5 stars, the difficulty tapping the holes and the drip cause the container to get 3 stars; i've averaged it out to 4.
The low score reflects this. The detergent itself is great and it arrived on time.
Will I buy this product again? Yes, because I'm happy with the detergent. I hope by then, Ecos will have improved the container design.
My only complaint is that this specific package size is VERY hard to operate! Its heavy and the pour spout is difficult to use and I frequently get more than I wanted when pouring it.
Get it in a regular size tub and you will never regret this purchase!
