We recently moved to a rural farm and have both a septic and a grey water system. We need to be very careful about what chemicals we use in our home to protect the water table. Having tried every other green dishwasher detergent in the store, I was frustrated. This was literally the last one we tried but it works beautifully. Gets the dishes clean and the glasses spot free, even tough items that held coffee, tea and cheese. We aren't handwashing dishes so often anymore because they are coming clean the first time. It was well worth having the institutional size.

Our dishwasher is fantastic and works well with other natural detergents. Since we began using this product, the dishwasher no longer cleans dishes. It degreases fine, but plates must be completely free of other food (scrubbed, not just scraped/rinsed) or the dishes will come out as bad as they went in. Anything made of glass also comes out with spots on it, and rinse aid doesn't help.

I'd return it, but the return shipping would cost almost as much as the cost of the item and the money back wouldn't be worth the hassle. We'll probably wind up using it for hand washing dishes or something similar.

We have an older dishwasher and it doesn't matter what kind of dish gel we use, we always get spots on glassware. This still leaves streaks/spots on glasses not terribly scrubbed before put in the machine. Otherwise, it works great, is relatively cheap and easy to store. We transfer the gel into an old wine bottle for countertop use. I do at least one load/day (sometimes two) and one order lasted 15 months.
