Product Description

Introducing: Xeko Eco-Pals, plush animals from the Xeko trading-card game. When you purchase a Xeko Pal you also get a mission code so that you may receive an exclusive Xeko badge and unlimited access to the on-line Hairy Game. Your mission: Take Hairy home and give him a good habitat. Hairy is a Hairy-eared Dwarf Lemur (Allocebus trichotis), an animal that was presumed extinct until 1986. Endemic to Madagascar, this lemur is only the size of a walnut in real life. Hairy is made of soy and certified organic cotton. Hairy is one of the stars of Mission: Madagascar, the first collection in the Xeko collectible card game, and his card is hard to find because he's so endangered. Four percent of net Eco-Pals sales are donated to Conservation International, whose programs are helping to save the habitats of animals like Hairy. Body size: 5 inches with a 7 inch tail

5.0 out of 5 stars Support Hairy the Lemur plush toy! It's safe and made of tofu, December 17, 2007
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Earth-Friendly Xeko Pals: Hairy Eared Dwarf Lemur (Toy)
I hope I'm not to late to get this awesome toy. It is made of tofu by-products because the company (www.xeko.com) found out that they could make a beautiful, soft and safe plush toy out of something other than oatmeal which is natural but rough, or what is usually used--petroleum by products that give off gases that harm lungs. Small children sleep with other plush toys next to their faces and the gases are especially harmful to children with asthma or the genetic tendency towards asthma. This company, Xeko, has a mission to protect the environment and teach children about endangered animals. Everything, from their packaging to their entertainment is geared towards their mission. Please support this noble cause and check out their website. Forget about Chinese toys and the lead scare. Support our country's economy, local efforts to promote a sustainable environment, and reduce pollution with Xeko packaging. All this AND still have a beautiful soft toy from right here in our own country!!

It seems Hairy is sold out, I hope Amazon brings him back soon because I'd hoped to get them for Christmas presents for some deserving toddlers I love!

This review is from: Earth-Friendly Xeko Pals: Hairy Eared Dwarf Lemur (Toy)
This Hairy Eared Dwarf Lemur was on our baby registry, and he perched over my newborn son's bassinet while in the hospital. Since he's under 3, our son can't play with him yet, but loves to look at this dwarf lemur, and squeal. This animal is so unique looking, you cannot help but smile. The booklet that comes with the toy is interesting, and is interactive online. Amazing for habitat research, and getting your child involved. The natural, organic materials are a huge plus, too!
