It's just too much,
By Said Head (MN, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Earth Intruders (Audio CD)
Don't get me wrong, I love Bjork, but come on! Single after single bla bla bla, enough already. Yeah, her music is great, her latest album is good despite some weak joints, but this is just ridiculous. If I were to meet someone who could actually keep up with the financially and mentally straining activity of Bjork's ever-growing discography, I would both admit my admiration and knock some sense into them. Sure, it was cool back in '98 with Moby releasing tons of singles with his career-making album Play, but at least then some of those singles include b-sides, like Bjork's used to, but now it's all just a bunch of stupid remixes.
Honestly Bjork is starting to feel to me that she is just a money-loving shadow of her former self, obsessed with her own image. I think I'm going to stick with her earlier solo career before it became nonsense. I'll agree she has some creative means of releasing her music, but she could learn a thing or two about the concept of minimalism, or tight budgeting. |
