There are 3 sections to this CD. The first is a spoken meditation used to prepare you for labor. The other 2 are supposed to be used during labor. So far the first meditation is relaxing and helpful. I thought there would be more music without speaking, but all 3 sections have narative throughout. The labor sections have background music with narative.

I bought this CD to help me prepare for the birth of my second son. I had taken hypnobirthing classes with my first son but didn't feel prepared with my next son since I didn't have the "freshness" of a class. I used the hypnobirthing CD I had and then bought this one. It helped me relax and prepare for the laboring of my next child. I used it at night when going to sleep and it helped relax me for the evening. I would recommend it to someone looking to go natural (or to attempt to) as an addition to taking hynobirthing or Bradley or some other kind of natural labor prep. If not, it's good to just use to soothe and get mentally and emotionally prepared for labor.

I tried a different CD with my first child and didn't like it at all. I am so glad that I found this one for my second. It was really helpful to listen to ahead of time to help visualize a peaceful and productive labor and actually ended up listening to it all the way to the hospital and even at the hospital up until it was time to push. I now give a copy to all my friends who are expecting a child and trying for a natural childbirth.

I bough this CD to help support skills I have learned in yoga and my Bradley Method Birth class. I listen to one track of the three about three times week. I find it empowering and very relaxing, and hope it will aid me when labor come this August. it was also very reasonably priced. I started listening to this cd in my third trimester. It really helped me learn to calm down, relax, and concentrate on my breathing. I listened to it on the way to the hospital as well. I highly recommend this cd.

I used this in combination with the Earth Mama Angel Baby Getting Labor Started CD. They compliment each other very well. I had planned a natural birth in the hospital and was still almost a month out when my OB told me I was going to be induced. I listened to the Getting Labor Started CD throughout the night and come morning she was willing to let my natural labor progress! It progressed so well that by the time I had noticable contractions and began the Natural Labor Companion CD it was only four hours until my daughters birth. My sons delivery was very fast, only one hour thanks to the Getting Labor Started and Natural Labor Companion!

I bought this hoping to add to my cd's for labor, but this was a big disappoinment. I listened to it one time and couldn't even finish it. It was much more yoga then spiritual for me. I can't reccomend this cd.
