I have come across many books that include daily devotions, but none that have touched my heart like this one. I have found that I am able to absorb the knowledge I gain from the message as well as apply it to daily living. I share them with those persons that I feel can appreciate and use these words of wisdom. I plan on sharing these teachings with my daughter weekly in the hopes that she will gain the insights that I have, and carry them with her throughout her life. Thank you Jamie Sams I will be forever grateful for your contribution.

Once again, this respected Medicine Woman and author weaves wisdom with joy into an experience of harmony and happiness. Never ponderous or burdensome, it stands as an energetic tribute to the timelessness of ancient enlightenment brought to the modern world. Highly recommended reading for all people of all traditions.

Over the years I have read a number of daily devotionals. The originals are still my favorites, with one exception and this is it. If you come from a Program background you will notice the authenticity and impeccability of the author. With clear intent she presents an option for education and enlightenment at one's own pace. The readings are designed to be read by the timing of the 13 original moons that occured within the cycle of the year. They are connected to the Earth's time, not man's time and so being, it seems easier to find our connection with her too. That is the magic we seek. That is the magic we find in Earth medicine

I know now of what she speaks as she writes, now living on this sacred land. It is a wonderful book I read every evening, before I fall asleep. It is wonderful for the inward journey, speaking from the elders and earth spirits. This was a gift to me, and one of the best books ever! I am waiting for my 2nd Jamie Sams book to arrive shortly. Love her depth. It touches me deep down.

Native American culture respects the earth and the natural realm. This book distills the wisdom and psychology of living close to the earth but from a spiritual and heart-based practice.
It provides daily meditations based on a 28 day moon cycle times 13 months to equal meditations for a 364 day calendar year. The titles of some of the meditations are: "Immutable Laws", "Blue Moon", Keepers of the Earth", "Sacred Point of View", "Infinite Creations", "Heartstrings, the Threads of Life", and "Serenity" to name a few ... The meditations are based on Native American beliefs and legends and are tempered with real life experiences.
Interspersed are beautiful poems which reveal deep spiritual insights which can also serve as positive affirmations. This book is a gem. It can be a healing force for anyone with an open heart. It is highly recommended. Erika Borsos (erikab93)

Amazing! As someone who is very skeptical, I find this book to be the most unique, extraordinary piece. I found the book by chance and opened to a random page. The words described my feeling as though Ms. Sams knew my exact thoughts. When I finally sat down to read it, I realized the book can offer up "help" by opening to any page. I choose this route as I am not a ritualistic person so following daily is not for me! If you are soul searching, or if you are a person who enjoys diversity, or just someone who likes great poetry and meaningful words, you must buy this book. The messages may be based on the Native philosophies, but anyone, any age, any ethnicity can find meaning and relation. Not one bit of this book is limiting!

This book has 364 poems/short pieces of prose so you can read one per day. I just pick it up and flip to a page when I need to get grounded again. There are lots of life stories, one that sticks out for me is one that talks about remembering to be balanced. Following each poem/short story there's a sentence or two on the learning to take away and reflect on. Its really great - definitely a nice thing to do upon starting the day. Each entry has a connection to the earth, the Great Mystery, and often human behaviors (e.g. kindness, humility, love, qiet mind, etc) that we all can relate to and reflect upon.

This is one of those books that is truly a gem. Beautiful poems and writings of wisdom from native american tradition. They are words that string into pearls of wisdom that help us grow more deeply in spirituality and keep us on an integruous path, to honor and revere ourselves as well as all of life, in a sacred way. Such titles as "Finding the love within, Loving beyond fear, Speaking and trust, Compassion, Landscape of the heart".....are among the many daily pages that speak truth with consolation and gentleness. I own many daily meditation books.....this is one of, if not The best!

i am currently reading this. I am 15, and this book is making me see life in a new way.. i am beginging to like spirituallity..

This book is great for daily reading before work, school, play. Helps to build good spirit!
