I have really thick hair and have had a hard time finding a brush that doesn't have plastic that either snags in my hair or scratches when the little ball comes off the top. It gets right down to my scalp, which most brushes have a hard time with. This is certainly for anyone with thick hair like myself or anyone who likes their head massaged because it does feel good to brush my hair again

I bought this for myself, a luxury I could afford! This brush has rounded pins, and the cushiony pad lets you have a stress relieving scalp massage every time you brush your hair. High quality with a low price tag!

I brought this looking to replace a conaire "Diane" brush I could not replace. Love this new one. It's like getting a scalp massage while I brush.

This "wooden" brush is horrible. I just received it in the mail and after only two strokes, I looked at the brush and two of the bristles were already bent. I'm not sure what type of wood this is but the bristles don't feel like wood at all - they feel like plastic. See the pics that I uploaded.

I didn't want to give this brush any stars but the system made me.

I have found other Earth Therapeutics products to be very good so, when my beloved Acca Kappa wooden hairbrush that I've had since the 90s finally broke, I picked this one up.

BIG mistake.

At first, the brush worked well and I was happy. But, the second time I cleaned it (I'd had it for a couple of weeks), 6 of the wooden bristles either broke or came out completely.

I am very disappointed and hope this review will save someone else the money.

When I showed this brush to my mother, she insisted that I give it to her. It feels sooo good on your scalp! Love it!

This is my favorite hair brush. I bought one of these about 5 years ago at a coop, but when I went searching for another I couldn't find this exact kind. I was thrilled to find them on Amazon, and bought 2.
They are well made, the brush and tines are wood so they don't build up static while I brush my long long curly lox.

I have thick, curly, long hair. I used to use a paddle brush because I read it was best for my hair type. The little rounded bit would break off and the sharp ends would scratch my scalp - not pleasant. I tried a boar bristle, but it couldn't get through my hair.
Recently, my mom bought some "natural" Pantene shampoo. It dried my hair and scalp like you would not believe. I've used this brush once, and I've already seen a difference! Obviously the ends that split don't get restored, but my hair feels softer and smoother than it did a day ago, and my scalp feels amazing after the massage!
The only issue I have is that sometimes the hair will get caught under the bristles, but it doesn't take too much effort to get them out.

MY DAUGHTER HAD ONE OF THESE AND I TRIED IT AND LOVED IT. SHE HAD GOTTEN HERS FROM A LOCAL OUTLET STORE (FOR 4.99). UNABLE TO FIND ONE AT ANY OF THOSE STORES, I CAME TO AMAZON. THIS IS A GREAT BRUSH ESPECIALLY FOR MEDIUM TO LONG HAIR. IT DOES NOT PULL ON THE HAIR AND IT FEELS GREAT. I PURCHASED TWO AND ALTHOUGH I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO GET IT AT THE CHEAPER PRICE 9.99 IS STILL A GOOD VALUE TO ME.

I had one of these brushes for about 5 years with no problems. Loved it. It feels so nice.
I recently decided to replace it purely for (possibly imagined) hygienic reasons, as I like to keep my brushes in a drawer but for a year because of living conditions it was kept out in a dusty dusty environment and gunk tends to accumulate at the base of the bristles. I bothered with only a little research and decided very quickly to buy another of these brushes. First time I used it I knew I'd made the right decision.

The wood pins feel good on the scalp, the brush is the perfect size for long hair (and still lovely for short hair), it brushes easily, it's easy to hold, and it's pretty. And did I mention it feels nice?

The only problem I ever did have was, when trying to clean it out (intensively), the bristles actually hurt my fingers. Also if your hands are oily the handle can slip. But these are minor inconveniences, because this brush feels nice. Also, it feels nice :)
