four voices: evelyn tubb - soprano, lucy ballard - alto, andrew king - tenor, and simon grant - bass. for those of you who think that the human voice is about as pretty a musical instrument that's ever been invented, this is a disc for you. divine stuff. director, anthony rooley adds some nice lute, too. don't miss it.

Very nice, colorfully and tastefully executed Madrigal singing. Imaginatively orchestrated, chosen and executed Madrigal singing.
My only critique is that some of the collection increasingly drifts a little towards less interesting pallet of long, drawn out offerings from time to time. Between three and four star rating. Ken Cybulska |
