This EWF Live Concert was originally broadcast as an HBO Special in the spring of 1982. Just to give you an idea of the impact the group had on their fans, I was living at home at the time and my mother & I both stayed home from work to catch the show; we both had the pleasure of seeing them Live in person at Philadelphia's Spectrum Arena in 1988 on their "Touch The World" tour of that year. The Philly audience was populated with families and very young people, something you hardly saw at the concerts of EWF's contemporaries! I searched for years with no luck to find this event on VHS and was delighted when I discovered it on DVD a few years ago. A good companion piece is the excellent documentary "Shining Stars: The Official Story Of Earth, Wind & Fire". If you are a hard-core fan you will know all of this already, if not, sample the best that Maurice White, Phillip Bailey and the fellas had to offer, and they are still making music! Peace!

I am a musician, and I have personal knowledge of the group due to the fact that Don Myrick( Phoenix Horns Saxophone Player)was a dear friend of mine. He and I studied music together at Wilson Jr. College, on the south side of Chicago Ill. During the time when this Concert was held EW&F was "fresh", in that they were young, relatively new to many, and hungry for success. The group assembled on this Concert were practically all original members of the group. I have seen many EW&F videos, and this one represents EW&F at their best. It is full of talent, energy, and fascinating music. It is Great, don't miss it!

Bought this for my mom for Christmas. We watched it and screamed and danced just like we were at the concert!

I first saw this concert on video disk in the early 1980's. I have owned several of these dvd's. This is a must have. It is a party all by itself.

A great concert from back in the day! It really shows just how much they have evolved over the years. It would have been great if other concert DVD's were available that would have captured some of their "acts of magic" (such as the one where they all climbed into a gold pyramid and as it was pulled up towards the ceiling the pyramid opened and they disappeared!)Their performances were truly innovative and exciting!!

This DVD of Earth Wind and Fire live in concert shows the group at one of their many peaks. The group is a worldwide sensation at this point and the stage show is phenomenal. The lights and special effects only serve to heighten the great music that is being performed. Maurice White is in the show and sounding as good as ever. Phillip Bailey is there of course and sounding great although higher notes were yet to come. The band is as tight as ever and the Phoenix horns play some amazing stuff. This is a must have for EWF fans. Another must have is EWF live in Tokio which I just picked up and that DVD rocks as well!

If you like old school this is the dvd to watch and enjoy. It will take you to the place you're imagining your were.You'll ejoy the concert as if you were there!! so sit back relax and enjoy!!!

I loved this Earth, Wind & Fire concert! Visual and audio quality is great! You must be a true old school music fan to appreciate. If you were born after the late 70s, you will also be entertained by the stage costumes!! Amazing!! I have no complaints with this one, glad I own it.

This is one of the best concerts in the world. I had the privilage to see EWF in concert and they are unforgetable. This is a must have. A concert you can watch again and again. EWF also have a concert live in Japan that is a must have, but this is a ventage EWF. Their live with Chicago is awesome as well. Verdine is full of energy, the band is cooking as usual. For anyone that like concerts on DVD I would say this is a must.

In Concert Well worth the money. I felt like I was part of the show.
