About the Author

Judith Horky had a successful career in television production, but writing was always her first love. After being introduced to the world of metaphysics, she began a spiritual journey that was life altering and led to writing "EarthShift." She and her husband, Jim, have five children and four grandchildren. They live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

More About the Author

Judith Horky has had a passion for the written word since grade school. After raising a family, she returned to the University of Nevada-Reno to pursue a degree in Journalism. Her last class was in TV production, and her life turned around resulting in a position teaching television classes at the university. This led to freelance work as a producer, associate director and stage manager.

During this time, a friend introduced her to the metaphysical world. It proved to be another life altering experience sending her on a search for understanding. Her spiritual journey continues to this day.

In 1987, Judy and her husband, Jim, formed Sweetwater Video Production Services in Los Angeles. After many years of entrepreneurial challenges, they sold Sweetwater giving her the time to fulfill a life-long dream. "EarthShift" was born...and is now followed by the sequel, "Soul Shift - 2012 and Beyond".

Judy and Jim and their pup, Jesse, live in Southern Colorado surrounded by sparkling lakes, majestic pines, colorful aspens, and the magnificent mountains they love.

EARTHSHIFT begins with some very strange events shaking people up emotionally and physically around the world. As the earth's fundamental vibration increases from eight to thirteen Hertz and disruptions of electromagnetic transmissions begin, many people panic and are overwhelmed with fear. Only those who can remain calm in the face of widespread hysteria are destined to make a smooth transition to a new idyllic world in which amazing psychic and spiritual capabilities such as teleportation and telepathy are commonplace.

Judith Horky's fast-paced novel follows members of the Armstrong family as each individual comes to terms with the challenges presented to them in the transition from a world felt in three dimensions to one of fifth dimension sensibilities. Not only do people feel different when they attune their awareness to a different set of emotions (such as becoming able to commune telepathically with loved ones, dead family members, and aliens when they feel love and compassion instead of fear and outrage); they also experience a completely different world in physical form. Those who are controlled by their fears witness pillaging and looting all around, missing out on the brighter colors and fresher air in the dawning of the new world.

I love the way EARTHSHIFT takes the well-known concept of a transition between worlds, such as the classic story of the great flood which appears in many cultures around the world, and answers many questions about what such a transition might feel like. What is the world like when some people see only fear, destruction, and terror all around.... while others see a paradise? How will the transition begin, and how will it end? Will it be possible to walk between worlds?

While EARTHSHIFT is based upon a Christian point of view and includes quotes from the Bible at the beginning of some chapters, all readers will be able to relate to the challenges faced by the Armstrong family. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in exploring the possibilities of ascension to a higher level of awareness, or what it might feel like to live through the end times.

EarthShift is an superbly written adventure story set in both physical and spiritual worlds, about overwhelming changes in the planet that are part and parcel of the Shift of the Ages. The mystic Julie must use her talents to guide those she loves to the trust of the Higher Source. The survivors may ascend to the Fifth Dimension, or be lost among the ruins of the third. Who survives and who suffers depends on one simple thing, a quality that is the heart and pivotal thought of EarthShift. A compelling, entertaining, mystical novel from first page to last, author Judith Horky has deftly drawn upon her years of metaphysical studies.

This book is a real page-turner. I read the book in one sitting because I simply could not put it down! Even though it is 'fiction' this book will change your perceptions and your life. Disaster preparedness will have a new meaning and so will your concept of "spiritual". An enlightening, entertaining book.
