A sleeper Jazz fusion CD,
By
This review is from: Earthmover (Audio CD)
I had this CD, and to a musician(if you're into Fusion or Electric Jazz, or Funk)is the CD has the who's, who of session musicians of the era. Louis Johnson, Anthony Jackson, and the Legend, James Jamerson Sr. play the Fender Bass. Pat Rushen,Dave Grusin, Jan Hammer(who Miami Vice theme Fame), play the Keys. Lee Riteour, Mike Sembello, David T Walker play the guitars, and Harvey plays the rest. Might I add, He's very good , on the vibes. He's a home brother from NJ, so i know about the main title of the CD.(KY and The Curb) a part of Atlantic City, NJ, (before the casinos), when, back in the day, The "Duke", B.B., The Count and countless others hung out and played, in the city. It's a must, for those Jamerson fans, because this was one of those tracks, before his death, where He still had "the groove" to compete with the new guys, like louis Johnson.
