4.0 out of 5 stars More than control, January 25, 2000

This review is from: Earthsea (Hardcover)
This book is about more than control. It's about the coming of age of a young and powerfull Mage-born. One born with the power of wizardry and magic. This book takes you through the beginings of an excellent trilogy. Sparrowhawk, the young mage-born, is found to be so by his family. He is then sent to become an apprentice and as he grows, he becomes a powerfull mage. With that in mind, what is a mage's worst nightmare.... Is it a spell gone wrong? Or is it a spell that worked a little too well? You decide.
