I only had this item for a day. That is because after I unboxed it and set it up to use, the plastic quick connect they use for the incoming water, from your hose, was actually blown off the pressure washer. I have several other plastic quick connects, of better quality, I use for changing sprayers on my garden hose. I figured maybe the included quick connect had a hairline fracture or was just faulty in some way. So, I exchanged the broken one with one of mine. Again I squeezed the trigger and the same thing happened. The pressure washer cycled on and the second I let go of the trigger, the back pressure again blew the new quick connect off the back of the machine. Though this time it didn't just snap the teeth that hold it on the nipple (this quick connect actually grabbed much better), but snapped the entire quick connect in half. It takes an awful lot of sudden high pressure to do that. This is when I knew it was poorly designed, so I packed it up and sent it back. Unless you have an anti-syphon valve at the faucet outside, then all this pressure will be forced back into the pipes in your house. If you do have an anti-syphon valve, then the hose used to supply water to the pressure washer will need to absorb the additional back pressure and depending on the quantity of water and quality of hose, that could mean busted hoses. I don't understand why they would design a pressure washer that builds pressure in both directions, it seems stupid to me. Or, on the hand, I received a lemon in which case I still wouldn't want a product from a company with that little quality control.

Received this from Amazon yesterday and have spent the day doing a number of projects with it (driveway, vinyl siding, engine compartment of a car I am working on, etc...). Overall, I am very pleased. The pressure is pretty impressive for an electric unit and the nozzle allows for easy adjustment of the stream width.

The quality of the device is similar to what you would get from a residential vacuum cleaner, which means that it seems like it will hold up ok, but there are parts that could easily be broken if you were careless. The water input is probably the most likely thing to break as it is plastic and someone tripping over the hose could break it off. Also, you have to push pretty hard the first time or two to get the quick-connect to catch. That said, for a non-commercial unit, it is not bad at all and seems as good as anything else in the price range if not better.

The biggest complaint I have is with the instruction manual. It tells you nothing. I could not figure out how to get the detergent dispenser to work and called their customer service number. I mentally prepared myself for the multiple phone prompts and broken english, but I was pleasantly suprised as person with an American accent picked up the phone immediately, was friendly, and had the information to help me (the detergent only works on low pressure - again, something that should be in the manual, but isn't).

If you are looking for an inexpensive, around-the-house pressure washer and need something a little more powerful than the baseline units, this one would be a good consideration.

I have had this machine since the end of October 2009. Used it to clean the carport and three sides of a 24x48 mobile right away. It worked fine, though weighs a ton. Christmas Eve, I moved everything off the screened porch and set up to clean it and the front of the mobile. Halfway through, I was interupted for about an hour and when I returned to my work, the machine would not work. After some research, with which Amazon was absolutely no help, I found a number for American Lawnmower Co., the manufacturer. I was sent, without charge nor proof of purchase, a brand new machine about a week later. Yippee! I was thrilled. I also guessed they'd had lots of trouble with this machine. It was too cold to do any pressure washing again until a few days ago - the new machine would not even turn on, completely DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Ironically, the old machine did start, but only for about an hour, and that was intermittant at that. Four minutes on, four minutes off. I am not looking forward to calling the company again, but I will.

A waste of money and so much frustration! I needed this tool and generally depend on Amazon to provide good products and service. This product and Amazon failed.

UPDATE: The manufacturer, via Amazon, refunded my money and provided me a return label to return the unit. Very impressive, even if the unit was no good.

Things started out badly when the washer wouldn't turn off the pump and just drove it until the breakers tripped. I figured out the correct sequence for starting it up to make the auto-shutoff work properly (turn on water, hold trigger so water flows, turn on machine, wait for full pressure, release trigger and auto-shutoff should engage). Unfortunately the machine has now blown three holes in the hose and it's unusable. I'm probably going to try to repair it with a better quality hose since I think it's warranty was kind of short and mine may not be covered anymore, plus I think their hose is cheap and can't handle the pressure as it were.

All in all, I probably about broke even from what I would've spent on renting pressure washers in the time I did get to use this, so it isn't a total bust, but really this thing is junk. Giving it two stars for being inexpensive and for working reasonably well while it did work. If they fixed the auto-shutoff and used a better quality hose this would be a pretty decent machine and a great value.

It is one of the highest psi electric pressure washers available today for almost $100. dollars less (counting S&H) than many I checked out online and in stores. I think it did an excellent job on my deck,driveway and everything else I used it on. I like the long 30ft. hose and adjustable psi gun. Compared to the 1300 psi washer I had it works far better and it cost me $70.for a reconditioned one at Big Lots ,which had a short and cheap hose. The only improvement they could do is put better wheels on it because it does weigh 44 lbs. But my overall comment it's well worth $149.00 .

The product came in with a broken basket,after I notify you rebate was issue for the purchase of a new one...I thank you for that. However, the machine comes with a very poor manual on how to use it. My biggest issue was trying to connect the house.......had I not called I would have never got it going. Another problem was on mixing the chemicals, there is nothing there that tells me it only works on low pressure. Other than that it is a good machine..Please issue a more informative manual in order to keep people from call back. Thank you for all your help....n.Rod

i am waiting for the supplier to send me my third washer. i bought this washer off amazon.com and the supplier can't refund my money so they are sending me the third. the first one lasted long enough to wash the motor in my car and then would not pressurize the water. the next one they sent, the pump would only hum. one star is to much rating for this product.

I did not read the reviews prior to this purchase...I wish I had. I purchased this pressure washer 9-11-2010, I received it around the 14 or 15 of September. I did not get a chance to test the washer for at least a month. This washer is junk, the motor would not start..call the MFR and they replaced it, no questions asked. Got the new one 4 days later..called MFR again, unable to get it to work as well. I am sick of this trash!!! This was a total waste of time and money. Amazon should discontinue selling this garbage!!!

This product failed after 15 minutes of use. Contacted the manufacturer and they replaced it - no questions asked - and did not want the defective product returned. We had to follow up with them to get the replacement in a timely fashion. The replacement arrived -- and failed after 10 minutes of use!! This is definitely a product to avoid. Also, after going through the motions with the manufacturer, we ended up asking Amazon for a refund. They initially deducted the original shipping fees - but upon our request issued a refund for that also! Great customer service from Amazon.
