While unsweetened, you can sweeten to your taste with 2-4 tablespoons of sugar, melted honey, icing sugar, or sugar substitute. You can also sweeten it with an Easiyo Real Fruit Squirt (sold separately).
Easiyo Yogurt Bases offer more beneficial live yogurt cultures in every spoonful (probiotic cultures that you need for your digestive and immune health), and they contains no artificial ingredients and more calcium than store bought yogurt. All Easiyo Yogurt Bases are made from the highest quality New Zealand milk powder (from free range cows) and lactic cultures, and they do not contain stabilizers, emulsifiers, artificial coloring or preservatives.

All varieties of Easiyo that I've tried are wonderful. However, Amazon tripled their price last year. Go to the easiyo site to find other US providers.

I've used this with the Easiyo yogurt maker and it's wonderful! It's so rich and creamy my husband will eat it. Yes, it's pricey, but remember you don't need milk and it's available 4-for-3 if you order it from Amazon--just go to "other buying options" on the right of this page near "add to cart." Keeping that in mind, it's about the same price as premium store-bought but much better. Not sure what the story is with the long ship time--they must've just run out of stock.

Other than traveling to Greece or New Zealand for perfect, natural, organic yogurt, the EasiYo yogurt-maker is the best deal. It really IS easy! 3 quick steps, wait a few hours, and you have it. Delicious! Healthy! Homemade! No detailed heating and measuring & testing temperatures. Just 1. put the dry starter base in the container, 2. fill with cold water & shake well, 3. put the container in the thermos & fill thermos with boiling water. That's it! In 6-8 hours, you can start enjoying fresh, organic yogurt. A child could do it. My only concern is that the dry starter base is a bit expensive, but I buy 4-6 at a time, to save on shipping. Natural & Greek style are my favorites!
