Yes, this is the CD with the music that Michelle Kwan used in her now legendary performance at the Equal World Pros a couple of years ago. But the rest of the CD is great for anyone who is a fan of film scores and themes. The Beastmaster theme in particular is a great one as is the theme from Splash. And of course East of Eden!!

This CD has the version of the "East of Eden" that Michelle Kwan used in her program. So go ahead and order it if the reason you come to this page is because of that song. The rest of the music is okay.

I love it when the very question I had is answered in the first thing I read. I was looking for Michelle's Short Program music and obviously this is it. It packs so much emotion, Michelle is using it again this season, 2001.

Not only did Michelle Kwan use tracks from this great CD to perform to, but the superb illusionist David Copperfield uses the "East of Eden" tracks "Main Title", "Finale" and "Abra's Theme" to "fly" to when he performs his illusion of flight. It was used in his 1991 TV special and on the road in live performances. I believe he is still using it.

This particular CD may be out-of-print, but it is worth having if it can be found!

Maybe not as well known as Nancy's skating to the Theme from East of Eden is the fact that this is the same music David Copperfield used for the TV magic special where he flies. That's the first time I had heard it and it took me 5 years after the program aired to track it down. I suppose it's the perfect music to skate to...or to fly to! :-)
