Take four observational pieces, add a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humor, and tailor them into the play format and you have a collection which earns remarkable distinction not only for its literary style, but for the fact three of the four plays have already been staged off-Broadway in New York City. RENT CONTROL, EAST VILLAGE WRITER'S BLOC, PLEA BARGAINS and SPARE CHANGE each are dramatic comments on modern social themes with New York's colorful characters and setting enhancing the mood.
