1.0 out of 5 stars Astoundingly bad in every way, August 8, 2008
By
J. Brooks (A blue spot in a red state, Texas) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Easter Egg Adventure (DVD)
This animated movie is beyond words. The story itself is too sophisticated for children, but the animation is also terrible, practically unwatchable! It always breaks my heart to see a project that people obviously worked very hard on turn out to be so bad. But, it has to be truly awful for my five year old to ask to turn it off. He'll watch absolutely anything kid-related (Teletubbies? Scooby Doo dubbed in Spanish? you get the picture. if I didn't limit his television, he'd be Mike TV), but this was so awful he couldn't get through it. I didn't spend much money on this, but I'm sorry I spent anything!

2.0 out of 5 stars Strange!, March 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This movie has beautiful backgrounds. You can tell that a lot of love went into the coloring and design of most of the scenes. However, the character designs were, for the most part, awful. Very basic, not much to look at. The story could be "ok", if it didn't drag in certain places. For example, when the mother chicken is on the ground shaking with fear, and she's being accused of stealing. That scene was just too long. The cop should have picked her up, and taken her off to jail. Instead, several seconds pass while she's "ahhh" on the ground, while rabbits and chickens are saying "you did it"! And "did you do it?" In other words, the pacing is awful. Also, the movie moved from an old fashioned (looking/talking) town, and then the youngsters began acting like rapers? They sing a weird rap style song, and this didn't fit into place with the rest of the film's feel/flavor. The movie also began to get a little creepy by the end. It almost becomes a G-rated horror film...I can't fully explain it. Too strange in the swamp scene. I assume that this swamp scene is the one that all the parents are refering to (not appropriate for kids). Other wise, if not, then I don't know what they're talking about. As for the romance between the two rabbits, who cares? The songs are awful, and the lady bunny wore too much blue eye-shadow...if that was suppose to be eye-shadow? For those who just love to watch really bad or strange movies, then this movie still might be too much for you to appreciate. I often love movies which everyone else hates. However, in this case, I vote with the majority of "yuke".

1.0 out of 5 stars So mad that I wasted money on this movie!, March 16, 2009
This review is from: The Easter Egg Adventure (DVD)
I purchased this movie for my 3 year old twins. I put it on and was coming in out while doing laundry. I listened to what they were saying and I was SHOCKED. I casually pulled the plug behind the tv and told my children that the dvd broke and acted dumbfounded. If I had just turned it off they would have been upset. Moral of the story is don't waste your money. This movie goes down in history as one of the worst childrens movies ever made.
