5.0 out of 5 stars My daughter enjoyed this one
My daughter is three and really liked this book. She is a fan of Strawberry Shortcake so she enjoyed reading about the Easter egg hunt that Strawberry and her friends went on. She also liked looking for the Easter eggs on each page.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easter Book
I liked the brightly colored pages, nice definition, and the scratch and sniff smelled exactly how they were pictured. A great book to add to any strawberry fans collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Pleasantly-Pungent Easter Surprise, May 23, 2008

In "Easter Egg Hunt," Strawberry and her friends are looking for ways to celebrate Easter. When Easter day comes, they find that one of their friends has set up a surprise egg hunt. Everyone has a great time looking for eggs while wondering just who gave them this surprise.

The most interesting element of this book is perhaps the included scratch-and-sniff. Many of the pages have circular areas within the pictures that readers can scratch for their own pleasant-smelling surprises. The smells include fruits such as banana and apple, but also cookies, wood and flowers.

"Easter Egg Hunt" is a decent "Strawberry Shortcake" story, though it lacks to some degree the simple charm of another book in the series focused on the holiday -- Strawberry Shortcake and the Easter Bonnet Parade Still, it's nice enough as far as "Strawberry Shortcake" books go and has a reasonably decent, if not wholly memorable story. Amazon is offering its "Search Inside" feature with this book, so you can take the opportunity to have a look at it before deciding whether or not to purchase. This is one of the first books in the series to feature the new, somewhat "teenybopper" look for the characters, a change that has met with mixed reviews from fans.
