I had these shoes MANY years ago and probably wore them out by my love. I mentioned these shoes to my son and he surprised me at Christmas with a new pair. Again, I love them just as much as the originals. The quality of leather is good. Many miles pounding the streets of NYC. The soles are durable to the beating. I have a wide foot and these fit quite well (without being a wide size). I highly recommend them
