I bought my first pair of Eastland Newport shoes 18 months ago when I was going to England. They have been the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I have a lot of difficulty finding comfortable shoes and these were the best, right from the get-go!

I recently discovered the sole had cracked and I was devastated. I was elated to find the same shoe still available and I ordered a new pair at once!

The most comfortable and durable walking shoes I've found, especially great for travelling as they don't mark you immediately as a tourist (unlike sneakers), slip on and off easily when going through security, and look good in all but dressy situations. I only ever need to buy a new pair every year or two because I wear out the support in them for lengthy walking. I still have my original two pair for use around the house or on weekend errands. While not waterproof, the shoes seem to be water resistant, the sole thick enough to keep the cold of the pavement from coming through, and a decent enough grip to walk in all but the iciest conditions. I hope Eastland never stops making these shoes!

I bought a pair of Eastland 10 years ago and they were fantastic shoes, comfortable and long lasting, they finally died. I then purchased 2 pairs of the newer version of the shoe shown here, not as comfortable as the original (the others looked better for the work place too) but I broken them in and they were acceptable. Now a year later the sole of the shoe has split in two. Definitely not as well constructed as the last pair but they cost the same. Actually the interior of the heel of one of the shoes broke very shortly after I started using them. Right now it would seem I would get about as much usage from a pair costing 1/3 as much. One of the reasons for going to these was because the cheaper shoes die after about a year of wear. The quality has really degraded. You might want to look elsewhere.

I love these shoes, I just wish that I could find them in Black. They

are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

Buying more-- I own two pairs already (1 brown, 1 black) that I bought 2.5 years ago and have worn well for the amount of time I have owned them.

I purchased this shoe in the usual size I take in Eastland shoes and I could hardly get my foot into the shoe. Once on, with the use of a shoehorn, the shoe was long enough but too tight overall. Too uncomfortable on, it was immediately apparent they had to go back. Disappointed as the shoe is good looking and I have had very good luck with Eastland shoes otherwise. Plus had to pay return shipping. :(

I owned a pair of these shoes for 10 years and wore them every fall/winter season until they literally fell apart. They were my absolute favorite shoe and I was so sad that I couldn't replace them until now. I just bought a brand new pair and plan to wear them for another 10 years. These are the best shoes I have ever owned, absolutely comfortable for walking and standing, also stylish with both jeans or trousers. I'm so excited to have found these again! I also had a woman stop me one day when I was wearing them and asked me where I had gotten them - she also said she had a pair she loved and just wanted to replace them! 100% satisfaction. love these shoes. my second pair but these are alot tighter than the one i have had for 3 years.

Honestly, I've been wearing these shoes since I was 16. I'm now 23 and refuse to wear anything else. I tend to go through a pair a year (Ohio winters are harsh on shoes) and have 5-6 pairs in my closet just in case Eastland decides to stop making this style.

The absolute most comfortable, most durable shoe I've ever come across. If told to choose between these shoes and my mother....I'd have a REALLY hard time picking.
