Works, but snags a lot,

This rope lifted my pack and bow into the treestand ok, so by that standard, it works fine. The outer covering of the rope is a soft nylon that seems to snag on everything, though. My tree was a big fir and the bark would make little spots in the covering where it's like you pulled on a piece of yarn in a sweater... It sort of makes the material pucker out. Once or twice, no big deal, but my rope now looks like it's got braile written all over it.
The carabiners at the end don't look at all like the picture, and those were a bit of a pain, too (the inside edge was sharp and also snagged the rope. I mean, it's not and expensive climbing rope, but it did get everything into my tree. For the record, mine was black with red, not camo. |
