great little filter
These do exactly what you would imagine. These and a pump is the only way to go if you have one of those nice turkey fryers (birdie boilers) like I do. The oil is expensive and can be reused quite a few times and these little guys make sure you are just using the oil again and not little bits of the last turkey you boiled in the oil.

Overpriced
This was what I wanted and it does the job it was designed to do, but 6 filters (glorified coffee filters) for $20...give me a break. WAY overpriced.

Excellent item for straining cooking oil for reuse. What a wonderful invention so that costly peanut oil used in Turkey Fryers does not have to be thrown away after only a one time use.

These filters are, in my opinion, inferior to the filters that come with the Eastman pump. The bottom edges of the filers are square as opposed to the round edges of the original filters. The square shape doesn't fit as well on the round-shaped end of the pump, and it seems that this poor fit affects the speed at which the oil flows up through the pump.
