I wore these less than 10 times, and only for short distances, i.e. walking from the parking lot to a restaurant, etc. The elastic cord broke and beads went everywhere. These were not particularly comfortable, either, with the hard plastic tubing.

In spite of reading the other review I bought this because i liked how it looked. And guess what.... on my very first use it broke. I was standing in a store with shopping bags in both hands and turned around and one of the strings just snapped.
I am going to talk to Amazon for a refund.

I'm re-reviewing this item because though I tried these shoes on when I first got them, I didn't actually wear them outside till today. And I didn't discover what a hinderance the beads and the little plastic tubing are until I took a good, long walk today. Luckily, I could walk leisurely; otherwise I would've bruised my feet with these sandals. The beads on top are really uncomfortable at first, they press down on your feet pretty hard. Eventually I did manage to find the right shoe comfortable but then the plastic tubing pieces between the sole and the beaded straps started to cut into my skin. Needless to say, it was a long walk.

Even after all this, I still like the shoes and will wear them on occasion. But they will take some further breaking in and I no longer recommend them. I'd give them 3 stars but Amazon won't let me change the number of stars now.
