This review is from: Easton EA30 Aluminium Bicycle Seat Post (Sports)
This part is made from lower-grade aluminum so its a bit heavier and softer than the higher-end products. This doesn't bother me much, as it's also cheaper.What does bother me is that the finish on the part encourages slippage. I had to tighten the seat post bolt on the frame much more than usual to keep it stable and was glad that I wasn't using a carbon frame with a lower maximum torque specification. My second issue is that the seat clamping mechanism is bulky and effectively prevented me from attaching my under-the-seat bag to my bike. I actually purchased this as a maintenance post to hold my carbon bike in my repair stand. Then I tried riding with it and experienced the issues described above. Now it sits in a drawer, back to its repair-stand-only duty.

Rubbish!,

This came as the fitted post on my new Giant XTC2 bike. Within 6 months it was starting to slip. After another couple of months all the teeth were stripped off and it was slipping like a very slippy thing.Looking at the construction you can see that its poorly formed rounded teeth, single tightner bolt, and poor quality allow construction are significant design faults. 2115|R2NA85MTAMK8IZ;2115|R28GORRIT2MP14;
