Easton EA50 Aluminium Bike Stem

I bought this because I was in the process of upgrading my friend's bike for his birthday. It was a single-speed bike that had a flat bar (Brand: Avenir) which was also bought here on Amazon.com. The stem was the matching Avenir Aluminum stem with a diameter of 31.8mm (the traditional size of handlebars now. I wanted to change it to drop style handlebars and another friend had a set lying around in his backyard. He mentioned that the diameter is smaller than normal so I had set off to the Internet to find an appropriate stem. At my local bike shop, they were selling one (in house brand) for about 30 dollars! Luckily, I checked Amazon.com and found a similar one (Good Easton brand) for just a little over 20 dollars. I bought it, installed it and have been happy ever since. It has a 1 1/8" steerer tube clamp and a 25.4mm handlebar clamp. It is also symmetrical so you can have a 6 degree rise or a 6 degree drop on your bars (however you want).
