I've always been a fan of Easton, and so far so good on this buy. The feel of it alone is good. Allows me to take great quick cuts at the ball.

Picked up the 30oz for hitting the mush balls in our league and the whole team seats with it! Great weight distribution and truly massive sweet spot. The ONLY reason not a 5 star is the feel of the contact...still clangs like an old single wall. That being said, right out of the wrapper the fielders took notice and commented about the way the ball jumps off the bat....solid buy!

I was looking for an inexpensive durable bat that was approved in most softball leagues. I had considered the composite bats, but I didn't want to spend $300 on one while it was thrown and abused by other players.
I decided on a alloy bat and I have always been a fan of Easton bats since I played with them for several years in little league.
I was also looking for a heavier bat at the 30 ounce range for the type of softball my league plays. We don't play slow pitch or fast, but in between where the picther cannot lift his arm beyond the elbow or waist line. The pitches range in the 20 to 30 mph range, straight pitch for the most part. The league requires it due to the shorter fence line.

I initially bought a fast pitch Easton at 26 oz and found it too light, but perfect for fast pitch. I ended up hitting softer hits in the infield. Other less built players like it.

After two games with this bat at 30 oz, I have gotten the feel for the bat. Its perfectly balanced for me. I tend to choke up one inch from the bottom for control. The balls I have hit so far travel at a fast speed in a line drive between shortstop and second base and into the mid outfield area. This is in my opinion more of a line drive bat. I attempted to hit homeruns by not choking up and I got it out in the far outfield, but they were mostly fly balls and caught.

The alloy or aluminum is durable and I don't mind it getting banged up a bit. I heard there is a break in period, which may be true, b/c I'm was able to hit more controlled singles and doubles in my second game with this bat.

Overall, this is what I needed. Not too heavy or too light for my type of softball play. The sweet spot on the bat is identified.

If you need an inexpensive bat ... this will definitely do the job. But don't expect to hit many HR's 'cause it lacks pop.

I love this bat and so does my team. I play on 3 diiferent teams and the first one I had was used so much that I decided to buy a second one. Great pop to the bat.

This is a great bat for my girls softball team. We have three of them for the team and the girls hit very well with them. Hit balls has a good pop off the bat and holds up well. Can beat the price for this bat. Only con is the grip on the bat is not that good so we re-griped our bats.

This bad had a little bit of pop right out of the package but unfortunately I didn't even get to swing it more than 15 times before it got a huge dent in it. I will be replacing this bat with something else.
