Purchased for a 10 yr old playing Select level.

First tournament to use the bat this weekend - got multiple outfield singles and a triple to right field foul line.

Bat has a lot of pop and did not experience any stinging from hits. Easily seeing 15-30% more distance than previous Easton Rival 2 5/8 bat.

It is expensive, but anticipate using for 4 seasons/2 yrs spring and fall. Did not experience any dents.

Highly recommend.

This bat has some pop to it. It was said to be a little top heavy but to be honest it is a little top heavy-not enough to alter your swing. My 13 year old uses this bat. Since using this bat he has gained a lot of respect. His singles are now doubles and doubles are triples. The ball is very fast off the bat. Within two weeks of everyday batting practice he has opened a lot of eyes.

The S3 bat is an amazing bat. The 10u/11u club team has about 1/2 the team swinging the bat. The ball pops off the bat. It's a well weighted bat that is very comfortable to swing.

Cons:
This bat seems to dent very easily. We sent the first one back due to two significant dents and it was replaced within a few days. Great customer service for the RMA. The second bat dented almost immediately and has several small dents around the entire barrel. The bat has the worst sting if hit outside of the sweet spot. I thought my son was exaggerating when he complained about how bad his hands stung from a machine throwing 45 - 55 MPH baseballs. I stepped in and hit, just inside of the barrel on the hands and it shocked me how much vibration resulted and the sting...wow.

I read other reviews on this bat and the denting issue seems to be a little more wide spread than I would expect.

The replacement bat is about 6 - 8 months old and tonight at a tournament, it was disqualified. The end cap is now loose with no way to tighten it.

Now looking for a replacement other than the S3. Too bad, it is a great looking bat with a lot of pop, just too short of a life for a bat that ran $200 when released last year.
