This is a surprisingly thoughtful movie about a flawed, but decent young man torn between the life of easy money and upward mobility that a mob boss offers him or staying true to the impoverished community where he came from. Mario Lopez gives a very well-acted performance in what should be a star-making role for him. He also demonstrates the kind of charisma and physical presence to be an action hero in feature films. Hollywood producers should take note.

I have seen Mario on TV for years. So I thought of buying this DVD. After watching it I was truly insipred by the story and the acting in this movie. The story is great and original, and Mario is terrific. I am amazed that he hasn't hit the big screen in big way, yet. But with this movie if the right people are watching, he will, I am certain. He has all the making of a super action hero. I would definitely recommend this movie to people who like uplifting and inspiring stories.

This movie rocks! Mario - you are ready now for big time superstar hero status. Mr Ravi Chopra's story is very original and very inspiring. Great movie.

This isn't sweet Slater from Saved by the Bell, This is a really good performance from Mario Lopez. His part in this movies is of a young man just recently out of the justice system. He has an older brother whom is a lawyer and who is tied in with some Mafia types. Upon his release he goes to his brother, whom puts him up for a night. After Mario's brother receives a phone call to go to a club for a meeting with one of his clients, Mario decided to follow and meets the head boss, and from there the movie takes on a different lite. Of course I'm leaving some parts out so that you can watch it.

Any Mario Lopez movie is a great movie. This one has a lot of violence. Not for the squeamish!

I found it an enjoyable movie. Mario Lopez is the star that really makes it cool. He turns in a classy performance the likes of which have made him the star he is today. But in saying that he has some good co-stars as well.
It's not for everyone,but for mature audiences I'd recommend it !

This movie is horrible and the DVD cover/summary completely misleads the viewer. It is not about an East LA gang - Mario never holds a gun in the entire movie (unlike the cover photo) - and it is not an action film. Mario plays a scrappy punk just out of prison who helps save a children's community center from being sold off and developed. He teaches a one-armed kid to play badminton! Don't be fooled by these other reviews - I actually saw it and laughed at how bad it is!

I think this movie always remind me about the story of my brother's life. Mario Lopez did a good acting and I really liked him as an actor especially all those movie that he made for the past like the story of Greg Louganis a former Olympic Medalist. Buy this movie i will recommended as FIVE STAR!
