I will start by saying that for the price, this charger is great. The complaints from other reviewers don't make sense in this price range.

I have put my NiMh and lipo batteries through many cycles and it works perfect. The lipo balancing is good, charges very closely to the stated capacities of the batteries and does it as quickly or as slowly as i choose (0.1 amp increments).

You will need to purchase a separate ac/dc adapter but there is a nice one that u can buy together "Replacement LCD Monitor Ac Adapter 12v 5a Power Supply with Cord". This adapter plugs directly in and works great and total cost is still lower than most other options. If you do purchase a different one just make sure its at least 12 Volt and capable of 5 Amps.

Straight out of the box, the unit is loud with beeps, but it took me all of 10 secs to find the user settings to disable the sounds. Now it is nice and quiet. You might also need to adjust the mAh cutoff if you have large capacity batteries (>5000 mAh) but that is easy as well.

Setup is easy, select battery type and amperage and hold enter.

Plan on buying or building the connector for your RC battery as it basically only includes the original deans connector.

I use this charger for LiPo batteries for RC airplanes, and it works great! It is as good as any other 4-button charger, but it has the best price. But there are a couple of things I have to mention:
1. This charger does NOT come with an AC adapter (I purchased a 12v 500mA adapter with a corresponding plug for 20$ at Radio Shack)
2. After doing some research, I realized that I did not receive the genuine iMAX B6 charger. However, It works just as it is supposed to, so I don't really care.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this item, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good LiPo battery balance charger.

This product is absolutely awesome! I bought it to replace a fried $5 balance charger for an RC plane, but I now use it for just about everything: it charges all my RC lipos, nimh and nicd packs, and with the included crocodile clips it also does nimhs and nicd packs for various woodworking- and garden tools. Unlike the typical junk charger that comes with most tools, this one allows the user to set charging parameters, it reconditions, it preps battery for storage, it fast charges and in the process it provides detailed status throughout the cycle and much, much more.

The only bad i have to say is that the menus and buttons are not always logically laid out, and the chinglish user manual leave some to be desired. Then again, this is a very common charger in the RC world and just about any question has been asked and answered on various rc forums. At $25 this charger *obviously* doesnt come with a high amperage AC/DC adapter; you need to source this yourself. A 12v car battery will do fine in a pinch or on the road, otherwise the 12v rail on a salvaged computer PSU is ideal. For the typical user of this charger, this should be a non-issue.

Great value for the money, using it to charge the lipo batteries for my tricopter and the LiFe for my transmitter. You'll need to provide your own power supply, it doesn't come with one. The supply needs to be 5 amps and 12 to 18 volts. The barrel connector from the supply needs to be 2.5mm on the inside diameter and 5mm outside. I don't think you're likely to find anything better for the price.

This Lipo charger works as advertised.

However there are many knock-off versions floating around on the internet.

I am certain I received knock-off's.

They work, but they're probably fake.

Also, in dealing with the return of two DOA chargers, I had to go put forth quite a bit of extra effort to ensure that the funds were returned to my account. Shady.

If you need to buy one, pay the extra money to get a real one from a dealer you can trust.

I bought one for my son, and I liked it so well I bought one for my work bench. I do a fair amount of experimenting with batteries of various kinds, and this charger gives me an intelligent charge system that reports on the process in a helpful way. The menu system is not very intuitive, and the manual is only mediocre, but it only takes a little effort to overcome these deficiencies. The leads supplied were of only average quality, but they work fine. I use an orphaned laptop charger that puts out 14v at 3 amps as a power supply, and it works fine. Most laptop chargers these days are 18v-19v, and the unit senses an over-voltage condition and refuses to run if the voltage is the least bit over 18v, a I discovered when I tried to use a supply marked 18v that actually put out 18.4v. It's a pretty smart unit. For the price, this is a five-star item.

This is a knock off product that arrived missing pieces and very damaged. Also, there is no serial number meaning that is is not legitimate. Purchased from olympa something or rather.

Purchased from "BestDealUSA", but if you look at the picture the box is the wrong color to be a genuine iMax B6. There is a video that you can find if you search for "How to spot a fake iMax B6" that will show you how to identify the differences, and what you can expect from your knock-off product.
Product seems to function correctly, but I've already had to reglue the buttons back on (they came off in my travel bag), and long-term durability seems questionable. Seller was evasive in communication and failed to provide a genuine product when pressed. Would not purchase again.
