4.0 out of 5 stars Eastwood-The man from Malpaso, June 3, 2001

Joe O'Brien (Virginia Beach, Virginia USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eastwood - The Man From Malpaso [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Malpaso is the name of a creek that runs through Clint Eastwood's property in Northern California. It's also the name of his production company that he started way back in the late 1960's.That production company has produced dozens of fine films, many of which are featured in this documentary from 1993.

This features highlights from his life growing up in Northern California during The Great Depression. To his early days as a contract player at Universal Studios in the mid 1950's doing bit parts in mostly low budget pictures. To his days on the television series "Rawhide",to the Italian spaghetti Westerns in the mid 1960's.It features many film clips from his many hit movies in the 1970's and '80's,when he was one of Hollywood's top box-office draws.A few times being the worlds' No.1 box-office attraction. All the way up to his Academy Award winning Western "Unforgiven" from 1992.It also features interviews with many people he has worked with including actor Gene Hackman.Fans of Clint Eastwood and there are legions of them will find this an entertaining biography,(which was broadcast on Biography on A&E), of one of Hollywood's most enduring stars.
