I am a beginning beader and I found this book to be wonderful! I purchased this book because I enjoyed just leafing through it and looking at all of the projects inside. Many of the designs offered me inspiration for my own jewelry creations. One thing that made this book stand out when I looked through it was that the margins were used to show the jewelry and point out what kinds of beads were used in each design. This made it really easy to see the design impact of different types of beads and help me to select what elements I want to use in my own jewelry.

The book also contains instructions on how to create the jewelry and lots of helpful hints and background information. She includes comments on such things as what to consider when purchasing beads over the internet and where to find the tools you will need (maybe in the toolbox in your garage!). Lots of good, practical advice.

I found this book to be very informative and inspiring. I can't wait to get back to my beading!

This is by far one of my favorite beading books. In fact, I have two copies! The designs are beautiful and the materials used are really lovely, but what I like most about the designs is the way they are laid out. There are clear details about how to make each project, along with detailed component lists, as well as where to buy the components, sometimes line drawings showing in detail the patterning and placement, and beautiful color pictures. I also like that the author indicates an approximate price range for the piece (like this will cost aobut as much as a movie ~$20) and the approximate time it will take to put it together. Although the designs are not very complicated they are very lovely and they are really good for the beginning or casual designer. But they are also varied enough that I can use them as a starting point in my own jewelry designing. Great book to have as a reference in your jewelry library.

This book is a terrific combination of simple techniques and artistic merit. The diagrams are a pleasure to follow as they are printed--and inspire the reader to improvise and make variations according to personal taste.

I checked this book out at the library before deciding to buy it, and I'll definitely buy it. I've been beading for 5 years now and this is the first book I've seen that has designs in it that are my tastes. Another fun thing about this book is it has a section on victorian-style jewelry with antiqued brass and filigree wrapping. The book has beautiful pictures and easy instructions. I highly recommend this book!

Love the book. It has beautiful designs and ideas. The only thing is it doesn't tell you how to make the items. I tried making one of the necklaces, didn't find all of the supplies, but improvised. I went to make it and was lost!! No directions, i.e. how many seed beads then a bigger bead. I had to count them in the picture and that didn't help so I put how many I thought looked right. The only thing it referred you to was how to make a multi strand necklace, I already know how to do that.

While this book has 75 designs (some quite complex), I bought it for its exceptionally clear instructions and its complete inventory of findings, and bead sizes, types of beads. The photos are superb.

This is the book of all books for jewelry making. If your a beginner and an expert you will find something in this book. I am a beginner jeweler and have been doing only projects that are sent to me monthly with everything I need to do it. I have decided that it was time that I try to create my own work. This book was the best purchase. Even though it is set up with instructions you can still put your own flair to it. I am working on my first piece and I feel pretty good about the choices I made. As far as the shipping on this book I was amazed how fast it came even after I figured out the next day that it was coming from the UK. I panic a little and thought I was going to get the book in 6 months. I actually got the book 8 days later. I was very happy and will put this company in my top 5. And you should too.
