We whipped up some of the Coconut Key Lime bars and they were excellent! All the recipes are listed out in a short and easy manner, making the start-to-finish time got quickly. I think we are going for the Gooey Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars next time!!
I am really not much of a cook, but I am above average at shoveling cookies into my mouth, so when I found this book I figured I could teach myself. I was surprised at how easy all of the recipes in this book are to cook, with difficulty ranging from "easy" to "a cinch". I have already tried the Chunky Chocolate Almond Bars and they were delicious and next up is the are the German Chocolate Bars. I can't Wait! It is also super convenient having this book on kindle, when shopping for ingredients I can simply open my phone's kindle app and use the book as my grocery list.
I try to find recipes that are diabetic/sugar free. Sugar free cake mixes are available in stores and this is an excellent way to use them in a cookie form. Recipes are easy to follow and add some variety to a plain cake mix.
Basic flavors of cake mixes dropped from 18 oz to 16 oz per box more than a year ago, yet there is no mention of that or any indication if that makes any difference in these recipes either in the book or on the linked website.
This book is terrific. We love to bake at our house but have physical limitations. This book made baking again possible AND easy.......not to mention scrumptious. Thank you,Martha. We made several recipes for Christmas that got rave reviews :)
