Book Description

Bomber Hanson Mystery Series, 7 February 2004
When beloved family doctor, Melissa McHagarty, is jailed for the murder of her swindling husband, Easy, she pleads with the famed Bomber Hanson to take her case. Believing in her spotless reputation, Bomber’s son, Tod, puts his career on the line and sets out to convince his father to sign on as her defense attorney.

In the week Bomber allows him, Tod uncovers the shadowy world that surrounded the victim and his multi-million dollar home. Involved in organized crime, drugs, and hit men for hire, he had a long list of debts and many enemies. Was the greedy, self-serving Easy responsible for his own demise? Did he deserve to be poisoned?

Unfortunately, Tod also discovers that the good doctor has some questionable secrets of her own. Bomber, still reluctant to take the case, tries to convince Tod to defend her himself. Will Tod find enough evidence to convince Bomber and prove why they say, Easy Come, Easy Go? Find out, in this, the seventh title in David Champion’s riveting Bomber Hanson Mysteries.

Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

Tod Hanson, son of the legendary defense attorney Bomber Hanson, is not quite so pathetic these days. Working under his father still causes Tod extreme discomfort, but at least the girl he fell in love with in She Died for Her Sins (2002) is still in his life, even if it's become a long-distance relationship. But that leaves Tod to accept a case his father would rather pass on involving the death of Fred "Easy" Noggle, whose widowed wife, Melissa, a respected doctor, stands accused of the crime. Tod finds something believable in Melissa's story, even though all the physical evidence points to her. Tod's quirky investigative techniques uncover enough holes to turn Bomber around and accept the case after all. Though not warm and loving by any stretch of the imagination, the relationship between the pompous Bomber and his unassuming son grows closer with each entry into this engaging, witty series, which deserves a much larger audience. 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Read, November 11, 2008
This review is from: Easy Come, Easy Go: A Bomber Hanson Mystery (Bomber Hanson Mystery Series, 7) (Hardcover)
Easy Come, Easy Go is a wonderful story of second chances, like all of David Champion's novels. This one is unique, however, because at first Bomber doesn't believe his defendant! Can he change his mind in time to save her? This fun, quick to read book is recommended for courtroom drama fans, Bomber Hanson fans, students college-aged and older, and anyone interested in going to, or has gone to, medical school.
