Book Description

When I talk about one of the services we offer, a common response is, “Competitor analysis? What’s that and why would I need it?”

Another one I get is, “And how would I do that?”

You’ll find the answers to both questions in this book! In summary, however, competitor analysis is finding out about your competitors’ businesses and applying that knowledge to your own business.

You’ll be taken step by step through how to find out what your competitors are up to, and how you can use the knowledge to your own benefit.

You’ll be surprised at what you find out.

I’ll also show you how you can outsource some of this if you’re pushed for time.

In addition, you get a link to the accompanying worksheets if you would like them; there’s no charge for downloading them.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Know who you are Fighting" February 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Knowing your competitors is vital for developing a marketing plan. Jacqui covers the seven main ways to identify who your competitors are using Online and Offline research and that is just one chapter! I have been in marketing, in some form, for over 20 years and rarely can you find a "quick read" document that expresses the fundamental nature of the "beast" without unnecessary fluff. Jacqui has accomplished an exemplary introduction to "Competitor Analysis for Business" and we should all take notes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tips to improve your business February 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
One of the most under-valued methods of improving your own business is understanding what your competitors are doing - not only what they're doing right but what they're doing wrong as well.

This book provides a number of great tips, as well as helpful worksheets that can be downloaded for free, to help you get a better understanding of what your competitors are doing. Not only will this help you mimic the things that they are doing to be successful, you will also see what they are not doing and that can give you a competitive advantage. Don't operate your business in a silo, pick up this book and learn how to use your competitors for your benefit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Many Great Tips! February 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I've been involved in some form of online business since 2004. And one of the things that is often recommended is to analyze your competitors. Why? Well, success leaves clues. And if your competitor is successful, there are things you can learn from them and improve on in your own business. And that's just one reason. :) I especially liked the 2 bonus charts (PDF downloads) that were given with this book. One of the charts is 14 pages and gives an overview of the book and space to write out your research and findings - very helpful!

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful Way To Improve Your Business February 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This short book says more in a few pages than lots of the 200 page puff piece books on the bestseller lists. Many unique ways of collecting the good and bad about competitors in your industry are clearly laid out. It is what you are advised to do with your research that can help you take your business to the next level. Highly recommended reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful Tool for Every Business Owner and Manager March 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
For many business owners competitor analysis has been a mysterious and complex art. Analyzing the competition was something General Motors and IBM did.

Easy Competitor Analysis removes the mystery and shows you how to easily (as well as ethically and legally) gather highly useful information about your competitors and ways of analyzing the information enabling you to mine every useful nugget of insight to use and take advantage of in your business.

Clearly written, very interesting and highly recommended!

By Kat

This book has a wealth of information for the new and existing business owner. One of the most important steps when examining a business possibility is to know if you can succeed. The only way to know is to have all of the facts and that includes knowing about your competition. Excellent book and well written content.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great help for business owners February 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
AS a seasoned marketer I am always looking for new ways to improve my revenue. This book provided me with some great insights into tapping into successful strategies employed by your competitors. Many of the tips are nice and simple, but very effective. The author has clearly put a fair bit of thought into this and employs the strategies herself. After reading this book I think I will get some of my outsourcers onto this now as it is very valuable to stay ahead of the competition.

The worksheets were also very helpful. Thanks!
