I purchased two rolls of this fence for our yard to create a cate enclosure. We used the existing trees in our yard to zip tie the fence to, made sure the bottom of the fence was stapled to the ground and covered to discourage digging and going under and ensured it was tall enough for any potential climbers. We had to engineer a gate and a few other areas that were not in a straight line. Also, we made sure that it is floppy enough at the top (curving inward) so that it discourages jumping -- it's still 6 1/2 feet tall after tucking the bottom under.
It is so wonderful to have a place where our kitties can enjoy being outside without the fear of them getting hit by a car, getting into trouble with another animal or being a nuisance to our neighbors. It also allows our cats the freedom to spend the night outside without again, the worry, of them roaming.
The fence is durable enough to survive raccoons climbing over it from a tree (we fixed that) without breaking. It's also invisible when you stand back -- which is nice because we spend a lot of time in our backyard on the patio. We don't have deer issues. Just love cats. We read a lot about creating a cat enclosure from other websites and decided we could make it ourselves -- we spent under $250.00 total to enclose our fairly large yard -- including making a new gate, zip ties, the fencing and odds and ends (like garden staples). It took us just half a day to complete our project from start to finish.

I bought this fence for an inexpensive barrier around my garden to keep deer and other animals out. It has served it's purpose well. I would recommend this product to others.

I have been using this product for five years to keep the deer out of my gardens. The deer have tried jumping into the deer barrier fencing but they have not been able to break threw it. They may cause a slight tear in the fencing. The fencing holds up to the cold winters in northern Ohio. The only problem is the rabbits and chipmunks will chew the fiber at the base of the fencing to get into the garden.

I live in the country with a lot of wildlife, this works extremely well to keep my garden safe from the critters. It was very easy to put up and does not appear as an eyesore on the side yard. Pleased with purchase overall. Cant wait for the tomatoes, peppers, corn and cukes.

I live in rural Colorado, and a day does not pass without several deer in my yard. I used this product to surround my vegetable garden and the deer don't even think about trying to jump over or through it. It is strong, yet almost invisible from a distance.

I got this deer fence to use around a vegetable garden to stop deer from making a meal of it. The fence was easy to cut to length and install. The material was thinner than what I expected, but time will tell as to how durable it actually is. A friend of mine installed a similar fence last year and it is still going strong. I'll be more than happy if the fence lasts for at least 5 years.

Although it is labelled as a deer barrier, I will most likely use the material as bird netting to cover fruit trees as well.

It has been over a year since we installed the fence. Still up and doing a good job of keeping deer away from our vegetable garden. We know this for sure because we see a lot of deer tracks just outside the fence!!

I have purchased the deer barrier FENCING before (about a year ago) without any issues. HOWEVER, this time, when the item arrived, it was the WRONG item - it was deer NETTING - these are entirely different products. The netting is 1/3 the cost of the fencing and lightweight - the fencing is much more heavy duty. So, I returned the product hoping that with a replacement, I would get the correct item. No, not so lucky. For the second time, I received the incorrect product. The AMAZON LABEL was correct but the ITEM was not - someone put the wrong Amazon label on the product so I am sure that is why I got the wrong item for the second time. The PLUS in all of this is that Amazon is FANTASTIC in the return process. They make it easy to do returns without much hassle at all. I just wish the correct item was possible to acquire. Oh, well .... I do believe that they are now aware of the problem. - Jan W.

We installed five rolls of this deer barrier fencing. The deer have gone through the fencing several times. It rips quite easy. We cut a piece and patch it over the rip with zip ties. It doesn't look pretty. I wish we had gone with a stronger deer fence. We will probably have to take all this down and replace it with something better. Also when installing, one half is straight and the other half is on an angle. The squares are not lined up straight. Makes it harder to install. Maybe it was a defect in the rolls we received. So if you have deer that want to come through they will with no problem. We watched one the other night come running, jump through one side and straight through the other side as if it wasn't there. If they want to come through they will.

Like a reviewer mentioned below, I wound up using this product to build a cat pen for my 3 indoor cats. So while I can't speak specifically to deer - I've had three cats trying their hardest to break through this fence for a week now and haven't been able to manage it.

The material itself is really neat - its very light weight. You can cut it with even dull scissors. And yet, I can't break it with my hands. The netting itself is very thin so it does almost disappear into the environment. Everybody keeps asking me why the cats don't dig out because the fact that I've built a floor of the netting isn't even really visible.

I used outdoor rated zip strips to attach it to itself and to metal fence posts - went up quick and easy.

I purchased this in early March 2011 on Amazon. What I received in the mail a week later was Ross Deer Netting, which is very different than what is listed here and sells for only $18 on Amazon. I received a full refund, but frustrating to buy a product and get something totally different. Amazon's sticker on the product even said it was Easy Gardner Deer Fencing. Very misleading. Do Not Buy this from Amazon!!!
